Singing Tree

Ray Belanger is considered one of the best hammered dulcimer performers in the southeast. Since he started playing nearly 20 years ago, he has been involved with musical folk group Simple Gifts with his wife, Cheryl, southern mountain string band group The Twang Gang, and most recently, Singing Tree with Lloyd. 

Lloyd met Ray at Moffitt, where the duo began playing together. He became  mesmerized with how the bass and hammered dulcimer sounded together and was overwhelmed to start creating arrangements with Ray. Shortly after the two formed Singing Tree, a folk music group that employs traditional, classical and contemporary arrangements.
